Here's a really neat opportunity that will only be available for a short window of time, so go ahead and snag her during the "off season", she won't be on the market indefinitely!
This decision to offer Eden comes with a backstory that I will sum up into a brief paragraph, we usually don't offer the mares that we intend to show and breed. I acquired Eden as a foal, she has been raised at our farm with the intention of adding her into our draft horse show group and broodmare group, just look at her, she is certainly show quality and we can all agree that she is a fabulous outcross to produce the sought after, big, fancy, quality crossbreds! At the time, decisions for the future were being made due to some of my other mares continuously preg checking "open", I was preparing myself with replacements as we were advised to "give up on the tough to settle mares". During the timeframe of replacement mare decisions, I was making other big decisions as well and I began managing my own repro work for my mare herd. Fast forward to this current time, the troubleshooting on my "tough to settle" mares has been accomplished and my original, lovely ladies are confirmed in foal. This leads us to the reality that I don't necessarily need Eden to enter my mare herd this spring. Would I like her to? Yes. Do I absolutely need her to? No. Therefore, for a short window of time I am going to offer her.
Eden is young, gorgeous, she loves her people and she's ready for a whole life in front of her. Have a peek at her power packed pedigree- Sky View Count On It, Windermere's Just Incredible, Pleasant View King, McGee, MG's Prince and Blackhome Duke, just to name a few, scroll down for more pedigree highlights! She is a very versatile candidate, Halter, Ride, Drive, Show or Broodmare, she will have you covered and is at the perfect age to start her career(s) immediately! Eden is open and cycling regularly. She currently sticks at 17.3h with growing left to do, she has fantastic bone, substance and fluid movement coupled with excellent feet. Eden adores people and attention, she is sweet natured and is easy to work around. She comes right up to be caught, bends down to be haltered, handles like a lady wearing a cotton rope (no chain), she is respectful of fencing and is good in her box stall with no vices as long as there is a solid stall wall partition. For transparency, here's a quick side note that should be mentioned: In the barn, Eden's direct stable neighbor is not allowed to peep the food, Eden will lightly kick the wall if she is pestered while she is eating in her box stall, a solid wall partition completely cures this as she does not do it regularly. In the pasture Eden is the leader, she will share the hay bale and does not head out looking for a fight but if she is provoked, she will handle the business, therefore, she enjoys her turnout with her friends of equal size. She really enjoys sharing back scratches with her friends in the pasture, so fear not, she is not the raging mare type! Eden stands in the crossties to be trimmed and does not require a shoe, she has a rock solid, perfectly shaped foot with good angles. She behaves for the vet and is up to date on vaccines, deworming and routine care. Eden is microchipped and branded, her tail is docked but we have let it grow, it currently reaches her hocks. Her registration papers are in order, her DNA for breeding is already on file with the association and the transfer of ownership fees are included in the sale.
